Dr. Frances Lucy is Head of Department of Environmental Science at the Atlantic Technological University in Sligo, Ireland She is also the Director of the Centre for Research Innovation and Sustainability (CERIS) at ATU Sligo. Frances is a freshwater ecologist, with her main research areas in invasive species, fisheries science, and water quality. Frances is chairperson of Inland Fisheries Ireland and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Irish EPA. She is former Editor-in-Chief for two open access on-line journals, Aquatic Invasions and BioInvasions Records (www.aquaticinvasions.net) and is involved in a wide range of international scientific collaborations.
